The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies takes a holistic approach to expanding knowledge toward several career outcomes. Not only will you study the methodologies and strategies of education in this master's program, but you’ll also learn best practices in communicating and educating in professional settings. Use these skills to enhance your current occupation or to transition to a new one — such as at an academic research center, an education and social policy think tank, or a state or city department of education.
The combination of coursework and a capstone project — a total of 30 credit hours — is usually completed in two years. Curriculum will focus on education research and law, multicultural education, and methodology analysis. You'll also have space for electives and special courses so you can focus on the aspects of this master's degree that you find most interesting.
