This M.S.E. degree from the University of Kansas focuses on four core learning domains: foundational competencies, academic and professional development, personal growth, and fundamental research and assessment skills. With this emphasis on the study and practice of supporting college students' success, you’ll acquire expertise for a career in higher education, such as in student affairs, residence life, admissions, or enrollment management.
The M.S.E in higher education administration curriculum is offered in person as part of a cohort at KU’s Lawrence campus. If you choose to enroll as a full-time student, you’ll spend two years gaining hands-on experience as a paid graduate assistant — a position that includes both a full tuition waiver and health insurance. Alternately, if you already work full time, you can enroll as a part-time student on a rolling basis that fits your schedule. A total of 36 credit hours are needed for program completion.
