U.S. News & World Report highlights KU education programs in 2023-24 rankings
LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas School of Education & Human Sciences is ranked among the top twenty Best Education Schools overall and in the top ten for public universities in the 2023-24 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Graduate Schools,” released April 25. In addition, two of its specialized programs are ranked among the nation’s best
The school’s graduate program rankings this year include No. 10 among public universities and No. 18 overall, tied with Arizona State University and University of Florida. The full U.S. News & World Report rankings are available online here.
The school’s graduate program in special education ranked again at No. 1 among public universities and No. 2 overall. The curriculum & teaching program ranked at No. 20 among public universities, tied with University of Pittsburgh and University of Illinois– Chicago, and No. 27 overall, tied with Harvard, University of Pittsburgh and University of Illinois– Chicago.
“We’re proud to once again rank among the nation’s best education programs,” said Rick Ginsberg, dean of the school. “This year’s U.S. News & World Report rankings speak to the high quality of our faculty, students and staff in the School of Education & Human Sciences.”
In addition to the recent “Best Graduate Schools” rankings, U.S. News & World Report releases its “Best Online Programs” rankings each January and its “Best Colleges” rankings in September. In this year’s online programs rankings, the school’s online master’s in special education ranked at No. 1 and the online master’s degree in curriculum & instruction ranked No. 19 overall.
In this year’s graduate rankings, KU has nine programs ranked in the top 10 and 37 programs in the top 50 among public institutions.
