US News & World Report highlights KU online education programs in 2024 rankings
LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas School of Education & Human Sciences has two programs ranked among the nation’s best in the 2024 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Online Programs,” released Feb. 7.
The school’s online master’s degree in special education ranked again at No. 1, and the online master’s degree in curriculum & instruction ranked No. 16 overall, up three from last year’s rankings.
“This year’s national rankings speak to the high quality of our programs and once again underscore the KU School of Education & Human Sciences’ leadership in the online learning space,” said Rick Ginsberg, dean of the school.
The school’s online program rankings this year also include No. 35 overall and No. 13 for veterans, up 10. The full U.S. News & World Report rankings are available online here.
In addition to the recent “Best Online Programs” rankings, U.S. News & World Report releases its “Best Graduate Schools” rankings each March and its “Best Colleges” rankings in September. In the most recent graduate rankings, the school’s rankings included No. 10 among public universities and No. 18 overall, tied with Arizona State University and University of Florida. In addition, two of its specialized programs ranked among the nation’s best. KU had nine programs ranked in the top 10 and 37 programs in the top 50 among public institutions. In the most recent college rankings, KU ranks 151st among all institutions.
