Summer Conference

Session participants can earn a GMCE (Global Microcredential Experience) through the Global Education Academy.

The 2024 Summer Conference was held on June 14, 2024 at KU’s Edwards Campus in the BEST Building. This year’s conference explored “Education in an AI World.” Iconoclastic thinkers in education discussed the rapidly-changing educational landscape during TED-style “EduTalks” on the exciting opportunities and complex challenges offered by artificial intelligence. The event also included “AI Playground” activities in the afternoon, with opportunities for hands-on experience with a variety of AI tools. A video recording of the morning sessions will be available to watch at a later date.

Credit Opportunity

Participants in the 2022 SOEHS Virtual Summer Conference will have the opportunity to earn micro-credentials stackable for graduate credit through the Global Education Academy’s online micro-credential platform.

Non-credit Recognition Option

For each session attended, a participant may request a certificate of completion of a (Global Micro-credential Experience – GMCE) (Special conference pricing – no fee for GMCE)

Graduate Credit Option

Convert your GMCE certificates to GMC-Pros (Global Micro-credential Pro) that are stackable toward graduate credit. Earn graduate credit by completing interactive learning opportunities.
